KAFKA - THE METAMORPHOSIS

     I will study Franz Kafka's Transformation. First of all, let's talk about Franz Kafka. Our well-known author Kafka had an unhappy and bad childhood. He especially emphasized the feeling of hate that he felt alone against his father, who could not agree with his father and had problems. To mention briefly the period in which the transformation work was written, it was written during the times of the First World War. Events such as war, migration, revolution affected Kafka as well as every writer. Now let's talk about the work. The transformation is Kafka’s most read and contemplated work. There are criticisms of the modernizing society and the existence of people who argue that money is difficult. There are many themes studied in the book. Disconnection between body and mind, meaninglessness of life and alienation. The Little Prince

 The book The Little Prince has 27 chapters. The book has been translated to 270 languages and has been sold more than 145 million. The events and thoughts described in each chapter show that the book overcomes loneliness through friendship and that people's imagination shrinks as they grow. In chapter 1 of the Little Prince, the writer describes his first painting as a child, shows to adults and asks: '' Why should we be afraid of a hat?'' (pg10) they say. We always have to explain the elders. Because as they get older, life becomes difficult for them and they lose their imagination. He has to draw a second picture to tell them the first picture. What they see is not a hat, but a bull snake that has swallowed an elephant. Seniors don't understand again. For them, life consists of numbers, tasks and they do not have time for a child. We can examplify this situation. ''You stop painting. Go deal with serious things; numbers, astronomy, geography, etc....
